Interview with a bully :


Q : Have you ever bullied someone?
A : Yes.
Q : Why?
A : She was ugly and unpopular.
Q : So you judged her without knowing her?
A : Yes.
Q : Do know what this called?
A : Stereotyping.
Q : Do you know the effects of bullying?
A : Yes.
Q : What are some off the top of your head?
A : Umm . . . like being sad or not liking yourself.
Q : Did you stop bullying the girl?
A : Yes.
Q : Why?
A : The principal gave me a detention for posting a mean thing about her online.
Q : Do know what this type of bullying is called?
A : Cyber bullying.
Q : After you stopped bullying her, what happened to her?
A : She started getting bullied by other kids.
Q : Is there anything else you would like to add?
A : The girl committed suicide about 4 months after I stopped bullying her.
Q : I guess that's a perfect example of the effects of bullying. Anything else you would like to add or are we done here?
A : I think we're done.

Q : Have you ever been bullied?
A : Yes.
Q : How did it make you feel?
A : I felt sad and worthless.
Q : When did it take place?
A : When I was in 5th grade.
Q : Has it continued since?
A : Yes.
Q : Are you still bullied today?
A : Yes.
Q : Who (without mentioning names) bullies you the most?
A : Mostly the popular girls who think they're better than me.
Q : Why are these girls "popular"?
A : They are rich and spoiled. They're considered to be "cool".
Q : What kind of effects does bullying have on you?
A : I don't have any friends. I am lonely. I live in silence.
Q : Why?
A : I feel like I can't speak up. If I do it might make the bullying worse. I don't have a voice anymore.
Q : What do you mean by "anymore"?
A : I used to be so happy and free. Then the bulling started.
Q : What different types of bullying do you experience?
A : I usually am verbally bullied.
Q : Have you ever been cyber bullied?
A : No.
Q : Is there anything else you would like to add?
A : No.
