This is pretty sad, but those feet you are seeing are mine. *My zebra striped socks rolled down, and my Spongebob pajama pants! I'm ready to go.* Stay around here in the next few days I will be posting videos of real teens who have been affected by bullying. Viewer discretion is advised.

Shhhhh...

Okay guys, so here's the deal.  I talked to Sam, who was kind of the leader of the Upstanders in the very beginning, and she said that it's a great idea to go on with the 12 days of Christmas challenge!  On our personal Google Doc/chat spot for us the original Upstanders we are holding a vote between the 6 of us.  We need more Upstanders! Remember if you become an Upstander you can't be a part of the Google Doc- not the discriminate it's for our safety-.  Don't forget about our e-mail (it's how you give us the pics) bullyingupstanders@gmail.com .

12 Days of Christmas

So guys, whether y'all celebrate Christmas or not, I - Katy- am going to get with my fellow upstanders to try and conduct a 12 day contest.  Here is what I'm thinking, beginning on December 12th I want to see how many pledge's we can get sent in from you guys (our feet picture).
RULES
Please send the picture to our email otherwise we won't get it.
Get a group of friends that are against bullying to take the pledge with you.
The picture must be of your feet - we DO NOT have parent permission to post a picture of your faces.
MUST BE OF YOUR FEET
We will post the first two we get no matter what and together we will choose one to win.
There will be first- fifth places.  This is NOT official yet, I still have to talk to the upstanders.
Why is this so important?
Because we want to have a bully- free world and it begins with YOU! Become an upstander- no matter how old you are! Our e-mail is bullyingupstanders@gmail.com

We know that we haven't been posting as much as we could and we're sorry, schoolwork's been getting the best of us.  Please don't forget to contact us on our twitter or email if you have problems with bullying or stories that you feel need to get out there.  I'll keep posting- one a week hopefully- and I'll help y'all with your problems.  All of the upstanders will.  On that note, send us your pictures of your feet and your pledge to become an upstander.  Send it to our email and it might just be posted to our website!  Have hope guys!  Enjoy your week!  See ya!

Stop Bullying

 

Kids around the world are being bullied today. I think that this should be a note to bullies around the world, which is to keep calm and stop bullying. That is what you should do in real life.

if you are hurt by someone you should keep calm and walk away. That is how you can stop bullying.

How bullies think

Why are bullies so mean? Why won't that boy leave me alone? Why can't I seem to get away? These are the kind of questions that could be deadly to a teen. These questions are the types of questions probably going through a teen's head as a bully looms over them. Simple sacrifices such as giving up your lunch money or your after school snack can be the start of a very bad case of bullying. So don't be afraid. Stop the bullying early. Stand up for yourself and others. All bullies want is to get into your head and mess with you. So if you see someone, of any age, being bullied, be an upstander. Do your part in the growing awareness of bullying. Spread the word about being an upstander and help someone being bullied today.

Purpose of this site

The purpose of this site is to become a resource for teens being bullied. If teens are having issues based on stereotyping or peer pressure they can visit this blog for help and advice from real teens like them.
